|Central Finland Energy Day 2012|
The 2012 edition of the traditional Central Finland Energy Day took place on 30th Jan 2012, in Jyväskylä. The main theme for the 2012 energy day was "From research to business - Sustainable use of biomass in energy production and industry". The event introduced a wide array of high profiled speakers, such as the VTT’s President and CEO Erkki KM Leppävuori and the CEO Tomi Yli-Kyyny from Vapo Ltd, the largest bioenergy producer of the Baltic sea region.
Presentations also included the latest developments in new biomass business opportunities and challenges in biomass sustainability, from the main figures of industry, research and government. The event also gathered a record number of over 200 participants, from energy and forest industry, public sector and universities.
The Central Finland Energy Day 2012 was organized by Central Finland Energy Agency/Benet Ltd., Jyväskylä Innovation and VTT, as a part of the FP7 project BIOCLUS coordinated by JAMK University of Applied Science.
